THE BAD FLOWERS

Now here's a band, some of you will have heard of and others not!
The Bad Flowers are my band 'to watch' for the next year.  I predict lots of big tantalising Rock n Roll opportunities for them !
Why??? ... Pin back those ears, have a listen and then let me enlighten you.

Lets start, by getting to know the band...
Up front on vocals and lead guitar is the very tall, very awesome, very sweet Tom Leighton. I don't know about you but I love a band that feel the music. Tom lives it and breathes it, you can almost see it transcending through his body when he sings and plays! Trust me when I say, he is spellbinding - guarantee you will get tingles, all the way up and down your spine!
Toms's vocals and guitar playing are level pegging and that pegging, comes in at a quality rating of sublime.
*Side note to you all about Tom, he is likely to photobomb all your piccys too, you have been warned!! *

Dale Tonk is up next, bass player extroadinaire and I don't say that light heartedly!  Dale is big, bold and groovy ( he is also a bit cute ).  Dale really stands out as a first rate bass player, he is unique, passionate and a hidden weapon within The bad Flowers . He also has an AMAZING voice, so not only will he bowl you over with his bass skills, he will leave your jaw on the floor when he takes to the mic too!

To complete this power trio from the Midlands, is the long haired, hard hitting, stick twirlng Karl Selicki. Like his compardres, Karl greets every beat with a smile and a thrilling devotion to the music that the band play. .Put these three highly enthused, heart warming characters together and you have a band, a phenomenal band!!
The Bad Flowers at Wildfire Festival

If you like your classic Zep and  Hendrix riffs, mixed in with a blues contemporary feel and a southern tinge around the edges - this my friends, is the band for you!
Wow, they really do have it all and add into the mix, they are such a spectacular band to watch, you instantly see why they have taken giant steps forward in this past year.

You may have seen them support the likes of Crobot, Tyler Bryant and the shakedown or Toseland previously. They are just kicking off their new support slot with The Picturebooks so a perfect opportunity, if you get the chance to go catch them on this tour. Little tip, go grab that chance with both hands!
The dates for this tour are :
The Flapper - Birmingham Oct 5th
Satan's Hollow - Manchester Oct 6th
Lounge 41 - Workington Oct 7th
The Mothers' Ruin - Bristol Oct 8th
Yardbirds - Grimsby Oct 13th
The Pit - Swansea Oct 14th
Corporation -Sheffield Oct 15th
The Lexington - London Oct 16th
The Bullingdon - Oxford Oct 24th
The Soundhouse - Leicester Nov 24th
AND
Planet Rock Winters End festival - Poole Feb 23rd

Not only have The Bad Flowers been given a prestigious evening spot at Planet Rock Winters End festival, they have also just been added to the Planet Rock Christmas party event, alongside The Blues Pills . The guys will be performing a stunning acoustic set to start the evening off, in the notorious Jazz café in Camden, London.

This as I say,  is a band on the up and really couldn't happen to nicer guys. Their latest release 'Thunder child' has been picked up by Planet Rock and lots of the regional radio stations, including Guy Bellamys' Rock show.
The song is epic, full of riffs, catchy as hell and really shows why you gotta check these guys out - don't delay !! This track is to be on their debut album, out early next year and to be titled ' Starting Gun'. That has my name all over it already!

Get out there and catch a gig this autumn and give the lads a woooo for me.
Even got a Wooo on my drum skin!

Remember everyone, life is better with music in your heart and soul
